“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.” Romans 8:26
Almighty King, today we lift up the needs of Faisal and the teams he oversees from Tripoli, Libya. You are doing great work in this nation, and we pray for Your Holy Spirit to fall among the youth. We speak the encouragement of Romans 8:26 in our prayers: “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.” You, O Lord, will give Faisal and his teams the words to pray. You will intercede and protect them from harm, ministering to their deepest needs and showing them the way to go. Help Faisal not to grow weary in doing the right thing, because Your harvest season is coming! In Jesus’ name, Amen. |

Tripoli, Libya’s capital city, is a large metropolitan area on the Mediterranean sea just south of Sicily and north of the Sahara. The country was under foreign rule intermittently for over two thousand years prior to its independence in 1951.
Due to their arid climate, Libya was almost completely dependent on foreign aid and imports for the stability of their economy until petroleum was discovered in the late 1950’s. After the rise and fall of the socialist state under Muammar Gaddafi’s leadership, the nation has been struggling to end the residual conflict and build state institutions.
Of the existing church presence, many Jesus followers are severely persecuted or killed and remain in hiding . Despite such affliction, an unrivaled opportunity in Libya’s history presents itself in this hour for the church to stand in courage and claim their nation for Jesus.
