Compassionate Father, thank You for Masoumeh near Kermanshah, Iran, and for those she leads in leadership training. Thank You for her desire to raise up faithful workers. According to Psalm 145:14, You uphold all who fall. Strengthen Masoumeh as she trains others in character and obedience.

Give Masoumeh and her team wisdom to recognize who is ready and where correction is needed. Let the people she leads grow in humility and courage, and protect them from pride so they are not driven by haste. Build strong foundations in Scripture, prayer, and endurance. Raise up leaders who can shepherd others through hardship and remain steady when pressure comes. Give Masoumeh patience in training and joy as she sees growth over time. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Today: DAMASCUS, Syria

I live in Damascus, the city once called “the pearl of the East.” Even now, as I walk its streets, I can still feel echoes of its former beauty — the fragrance of jasmine, the call to prayer rising between ancient stones, the hum of markets that never truly sleep. Yet beneath it all lies sorrow. Since the war began in 2011, our land has bled and burned. Just a few hours away, Homs, once a vibrant center of life, became one of the first cities to fall into devastation — its people scattered, its neighborhoods reduced to rubble.

More than a decade later, we are still trying to rebuild. Our government was toppled, and there are many unknown days ahead. But even in the ashes, God is moving.

Now, as the nation begins to stabilize, a new opportunity has come. Some believers are returning home, carrying hope where despair once reigned. We know the risk, but we also know the Pearl of great price — the treasure no one can destroy. The same Messiah who met Saul on the road to Damascus is still meeting hearts today. And we believe He will one day restore Syria, not through power or politics, but through His peace.
