Field Team Daily Prayer Request:

For the month of May, we will give thanks and continue praying for believers across 31 cities in the Land of Daniel and Esther.

God of Hope, thank You for Tahereh in Khorramabad, Iran, and for those she leads in evangelism. Thank You for giving her a heart to sow the Gospel even in difficult ground. According to Psalm 126:5, those who sow in tears shall reap in joy, we thank You for strengthening Tahereh when witness feels costly or slow.

Grant her and her team boldness, patience, and love for the people they serve. Prepare hearts before they arrive so that conversations open naturally and truth is clearly understood. Raise up seekers who respond to Jesus with repentance and faith. Give Tahereh wisdom to lead with humility and perseverance, and protect them from fear and from weariness. Let tears of intercession become testimonies of salvation. Keep Tahereh faithful in every season and let joy follow the sowing. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Today: BAGHDAD, Iraq

I live in Baghdad, once known as the “City of Peace.” The name still echoes through history, though its streets now bear the marks of war, division, and pain. As I walk through its crowded neighborhoods, I see remnants of what Baghdad once was — a flourishing center of learning, culture, and faith. My heart longs to see that peace restored, not through politics or power, but through the Prince of Peace, Jesus.

Here in the heart of Iraq, the Church still endures. Among the ruins and rebuilding, about 250,000 of us continue to worship, serve, and hope. We come from ancient Christian traditions, yet we share one faith — holding fast to Christ in a place where fear and uncertainty still linger. Our city grows, but its soul aches for healing. Every day I meet people longing for stability, for forgiveness, for something that lasts.

I believe this is our time — a window of grace for God’s people in Baghdad. He is calling us to rise as His hands and feet, to serve the poor, comfort the broken, and speak peace where anger once ruled. Each prayer we lift, each act of kindness, feels like a seed planted in dry ground. I believe the Spirit of God will water those seeds, and one day Baghdad — the “City of Peace” — will live up to its name again, restored by the love and power of Jesus.

Prayer for Today:

• Pray for the Church in Baghdad to become a beacon of compassion and reconciliation across divisions of religion and ethnicity. (Matthew 5:9)
