“Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.” Acts 2:18
Almighty God, we lift up Zian and his team in Athens, Greece, where many tired Syrian families gather in apartments, tents, and cafés looking for hope. In a world full of noise and confusion, be the One who gives them wise words to speak. In moments when they feel afraid or tired, be the strength they need. As they listen and share, guide them to speak with wisdom and power that only comes from You. Let every word they say and every kind action they show point people to Jesus. As You have said in Acts 2:18, “Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.” Let today be the day this promise comes to life. Pour out Your Spirit so they speak words that reveal the truth, bring healing, and shine light into darkness. Raise up new leaders from among the refugees, and let Your work in Athens spread into camps, homes, and schools across Europe. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. |

Greece is the southernmost country in the Balkan Peninsula. The nation is characterized by its natural beauty, having more than 2,000 islands in the Mediterranean. Greece is rich in ethnic, religious, and linguistic diversity.
Migrations, invasions, imperial conquests, and 20th-century wars all contributed to this vibrancy, which continues to define modern Greece. The country’s capital is Athens, which expanded rapidly in the second half of the 20th century. A host of contemporary civilization’s intellectual and artistic ideas were founded in Athens, and the metropolis is considered the birthplace of Western culture.
Due to Athen’s proximity to the Middle East, the city is home to many Muslims. However, it is not only ethnic minorities that need Good News. Today, a total of .3% of Greeks identify as evangelical. Fresh wind and fresh fire are required to awaken this great city.
