Field Team Daily Prayer Request:
For the month of May, we will give thanks and continue praying for believers across 31 cities in the Land of Daniel and Esther.
Holy God, thank You for Marzieh near Hamadan, Iran, and for those she leads in literature distribution. Thank You for her commitment to send truth where a preacher may not always be able to go. According to Psalm 119:130, the entrance of Your words gives light. Let that light enter homes, dormitories, shops, and quiet corners through every piece of literature they distribute.
Give Marzieh wisdom in planning and courage as she carries out the work. Protect those who help her from fear and from waste. Guide each booklet, page, and Scripture portion to the right hands. Let readers find not mere information, but the living truth of Jesus. Build endurance in Marzieh and her team when the work seems small, and use this literature to strengthen believers as You awaken those who are seeking truth. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Today: AMMAN, Jordan
When I walk the rocky hills and desert valleys of Jordan, I feel the weight of history beneath my feet. This land still whispers the names of Moab, Gilead, and Edom — places once spoken of by prophets and kings. The Jordan Riverflows quietly through our nation, carrying memories of God’s promises and miracles — of crossings into new beginnings and faith tested in the wilderness.
Our capital, Amman, rises on its ancient hills, once the stronghold of the Ammonites and later taken by King David’s general, Joab. Today, it’s a city of glass towers and bustling markets, a crossroads of trade and cultures. To the world, Jordan seems peaceful compared to its neighbors, but I know that true peace has yet to take root in many hearts here.
My people are proud, generous, and deeply tied to our traditions — yet most have never heard the message of Jesus. I often think of how David once conquered this city, but now I pray for a different kind of victory: not one of sword and power, but of grace and truth. I long for the Son of Davidto reign over our hearts, bringing light to every home and hope to every desert place.
I believe God will write a new story for Jordan — one where dry land blooms with spiritual life, and this nation, known for its ancient faith, becomes a place of living faith in Christ.
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
(Acts 1:8)
Across every continent, the Church is longing for revival — for the kind of outpouring that transforms communities and sends believers out in power. More than 3 billion people have yet to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They are deeply loved by God — and they are our calling.
Power from Above invites believers worldwide into ten days of focused, Scripture-led prayer for revival in the global Church — and for the Gospel to reach the world’s most unreached peoples and cities. This is a call to contend: to pray with urgency, expectancy, and faith for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit across every nation and generation!
