Addis Ababa, the capital and largest city of Ethiopia, is located on a well-watered plateau in the center of the nation surrounded by hills and mountains. |
The metropolis is the educational and administrative center of Ethiopia and is also the manufacturing hub for much of East Africa. Ethiopia, one of the world’s oldest countries, has experienced a mighty move of God in recent years. In 1970 the nation had about 900,000 self-identifying evangelicals, about 3% of its total population. |
Today, that number exceeds 21 million. As the most populous nation in the Horn of Africa, Ethiopia is positioned well to be a sending nation to its many unreached tribes and neighboring nations. |
