Prayer Fuel

We’re continuing our focus on each of the five megacities of influence—Jerusalem, Mekkah, Tehran, Varanasi, and Beijing—with an emphasis on House of Prayer intercession for the rest of August.

Field Team Daily Prayer Request:

God of Love, we rejoice that we have the privilege of standing with “Nanya” and other women believers who gathered today to pray and intercede for their communities around Varanasi. So many of her peers have suffered for their faith, and we pray that You will comfort them in their time of need. 

According to Matthew 5:44, we stand with “Nanya,” asking for the strength to fulfill Your word: “Love your enemies, bless those who curse you…and pray for those who spitefully use you.” May the power of Your kindness, alive in “Nanya” and her intercessors, reach those who are underserved and desperate to be affirmed and accepted. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

For the Pilgrims Who Come Searching
Every year millions come to Varanasi seeking forgiveness in the waters of the Ganges. Pray that their spiritual hunger will lead them to Jesus, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.

For Healing Across Divisions
Varanasi carries deep wounds from caste divisions and poverty. Pray that the church here becomes a living example of unity and reconciliation, showing that in Christ all are one family.

For Bold Witnesses of Jesus
Pray for followers of Christ in Varanasi to have courage to share their faith with neighbors, families, and co-workers—even when it costs them.

As I walk through crowded markets and narrow lanes, I see fields ready for harvest. Pray that God will send workers into every neighborhood, temple district, and railway station with the Good News.

For Transformation of Worship
Where idols are worshiped and chants rise daily, pray that the name of Jesus will be exalted in songs of praise—that Varanasi will become a city of light, not darkness.
