August 1-15, We’re focusing six days on each of the five megacities of influence—Jerusalem, Mekkah, Tehran, Varanasi, and Beijing—with an emphasis on House of Prayer intercession.

Field Team Daily Prayer Request:

Our Great Redeemer, today we lift up “Kamel” and his team of young men who have spread from the Mekkah Region across the country to pray in Your harvest. Open their eyes to see the spiritual needs around them and grant them the authority of Jesus to clear the heavens through His mighty Name. 

We remember the words of Moses in Deuteronomy 9:25-26, and lift up “Kamel” as they “pray to the Lord and say: O Lord God, do not destroy Your people.” They are standing in the gap, interceding for the unreached young men, and we join them, asking the Lord for divine, supernatural, miraculous intervention. Shatter the strongholds of darkness and open their eyes to see Your offer to be whole and free through surrender to Your Son. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

City of the Day: CONAKRY, Guinea

Guinea is a country in Western Africa located on the Atlantic coast. Natural resources are plentiful in Guinea, which possesses many of the world’s bauxite reserves and significant amounts of iron, gold, and diamonds. Nonetheless, the nation’s economy is primarily based on subsistence agriculture.

Since the 1950s, Guinea has experienced rapid population growth, accompanied by continued migration from the rural areas to the urban centers. During the 1990s, Guinea accommodated several hundred thousand war refugees from neighboring Liberia and Sierra Leone.

However, conflicts between those countries and Guinea have continued to flare up over the refugee population. Conakry, a chief harbor city for sojourners, is Guinea’s main urban center and the nation’s capital. Conakry represents a ripe harvest field for West Africa, with several sizeable frontier groups calling the city home.
