Master Teacher, we praise You for the hunger You are stirring in Yakob’s wife as she studies Your Word each day. Even in pain, You are planting vision in her heart—to follow Jesus deeply and to teach other women that they can help change nations. We join her in prayer today as she asks for peace and freedom from painful memories.
Give her rest for her soul and strength for the calling You are forming in her. Thank You for the promise of Your Word in Psalm 29:11: “The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.” In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

I live in Wuhan, a city that the world now knows too well. At the convergence of the Han and Yangtze rivers, Wuhan has long been called the “heart of China.” It is here that three old cities—Hankou, Hanyang, and Wuchang—came together, and today we are one of China’s great industrial and commercial hubs.
But since the outbreak of COVID-19, everything feels different. The world’s eyes were on us, and though life has resumed with bustling markets and busy streets, there is an unseen heaviness that lingers. People smile again, but many carry quiet scars—loss, fear, and a deep longing for hope that no government or medicine can truly provide.
As a follower of Jesus in Wuhan, I feel the weight of this moment. In a nation with more than 4,000 years of history and incredible ethnic diversity, our people are searching for peace. Some turn to success or tradition, but many are silently hungry for truth. Even in the face of persecution, the family of Jesus is quietly growing. In homes, in whispered prayers, in hidden gatherings, the Spirit is moving.
We stand in a nation whose leaders dream of global power through the “One Belt, One Road” initiative, but I believe with all my heart that true renewal will only come when China bows before King Jesus. My prayer is that the blood of the Lamb would wash over Wuhan—the city once known for death and disease—and transform it into a place known for resurrection life.
Pray for Spiritual Awakening:
Cry out for the people of Wuhan to see beyond fear and survival, and to hunger for the hope found only in Christ. Pray that the city once marked by sickness becomes known for revival. (John 14:6)
