Field Team Daily Prayer Request:

Almighty God, we lift up “Eunice” today, a dear friend for many years who has served You faithfully in Istanbul, Türkiye. Thank You for the pioneering work she has done all over Central Asia, and we ask that You would now give her a fresh anointing so that the outpouring of Your Holy Spirit will multiply through the many ethnic groups living in and around Istanbul.

In Malachi 4:2 it declares, “But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings.” We ask that You would fulfill this Scripture both in “Eunice’s” life and among the dozens of leaders she has mentored over the years. May each of them find the tools of disciple-making and multiply Your name throughout Central Asia. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

110 City Focus: Istanbul, Türkiye

I live in Istanbul, a city that has stood at the crossroads of history for more than 2,500 years. Once known as Constantinople, it has been the heart of both the Byzantine and Ottoman empires — a city that has shaped nations and bridged continents. Here, East meets West. The skyline is filled with minarets and domes, the streets hum with trade and culture, and the waters of the Bosphorus divide yet unite two worlds.

At the height of the Ottoman Empire, this city ruled lands stretching across the Middle East and North Africa. Today, Istanbul remains a global crossroads — a modern, cosmopolitan hub shaped by Western influence yet anchored in deep Islamic tradition. It is a place of beauty and contradiction, where progress and spiritual blindness coexist.

Though millions live here, the Turks remain one of the largest unreached people groupsin the world. Most have never heard the name of Jesus spoken with love. Yet I believe God has chosen Istanbul for such a time as this. As the ancient gateway between continents, it stands as a strategic center for the Gospel — a city from which the Good News can once again flow out to the nations.

I walk its crowded streets and pray that the light of Christ will pierce through the spiritual haze. I believe revival can begin here — where the past and present meet, and where hearts will one day declare the name of Jesus as Lord.
