We’re continuing our focus on each of the five megacities of influence—Jerusalem, Mekkah, Tehran, Varanasi, and Beijing—with an emphasis on House of Prayer intercession for the rest of August.

Field Team Daily Prayer Request:

Eternal Lord, we join with “Maia” in holy intercession today, asking You to pour mercy out instead of judgment over those who have never heard Your great Name. As “Maia” and her teams walk the streets of Varanasi and nearby cities, they are crying out for Your goodness to be made plain, and Your love to overflow like a mighty river. 

In Acts 7:60, we read these words of intercession: “Then he knelt down and cried out…Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” In the same way, we join the House of Prayer near Varanasi, which Maia helps lead, asking You to come with mercy and forgiveness. Open up hearts to find You and seek forgiveness. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Pray that people in Varanasi would see and experience the goodness of Jesus in their daily lives, even amidst struggle and darkness.

Pray that those living in poverty, or who feel abandoned, would recognize God’s goodness and respond with hearts of thankfulness and praise.

Ask that the goodness of Jesus would bring transformation to hearts, families, and communities across Varanasi, drawing many to Himself.

Pray that followers of Jesus in Varanasi would boldly declare His goodness to neighbors, coworkers, and the lost, even in places hostile to the Gospel.
