“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses.” Acts 1:8
| Giver of all gifts, today we ask that You would impart the Gifts of the Spirit upon our sister Pari in London. Thank You that even as a refugee, she has learned that You ordained her days, You have placed her in pleasant places, and You desire to work through her to minister to many others who have come from the nation of Iran. As she walks the streets, visits homes, and meets with new friends in the city, let the boldness of Your spiritual gifts flow through her and be a blessing to many. According to Acts 1:8, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses.” You have made Pari and her team Your witnesses to Iranians in London—people tired of empty religion, searching for peace, and open to finding Jesus. Let Your power move through them in ways that bring healing, truth, and lasting fruit. Raise up new disciples through their work, and let London become a sending place for Persian voices filled with Your truth. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. |

The United Kingdom is an island country located off the northwestern coast of mainland Europe. The United Kingdom comprises the whole of the island of Great Britain — which contains England, Wales, and Scotland—and the northern portion of the island of Ireland.
The United Kingdom has made significant contributions to the world economy, especially in technology and industry. However, since World War II, the United Kingdom’s most prominent exports have been cultural, including literature, theatre, film, television, and popular music. Perhaps the UK’s greatest export has been the English language, now spoken in every corner of the world. London is the capital of the United Kingdom. It is among the oldest of the world’s great cities. By far the UK’s largest metropolis, it is also the country’s economic, transportation, and cultural center.
Despite restrictive immigration laws, the flux of refugees and asylum-seekers from many countries has continued in London, and new communities of Vietnamese, Kurds, Somalis, Eritreans, Iraqis, Iranians, Brazilians, and Colombians continue to spring up. Migration such as this makes London a strategic hub for the church to win the nations and mobilize Jesus followers back to their homelands.
