Prayer Fuel

During the month of August we will offer prayers for those asking God to send additional workers into the fields where they serve.  

“Father in Heaven, today we lift up Natalie, who is asking You for a new training leader in London, United Kingdom. Raise up a training leader for the work among Pakistanis who depends on Your Spirit more than methods. Give her humility to recognize what You are doing through others and courage to follow Your pace. As Natalie prays and watches for Your answer, guide her by Your Spirit. Let Natalie move at the pace of trust, neither rushing ahead nor holding back from a clear invitation to follow Jesus.

According to Acts 2:17, “It will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions. Your old men will dream dreams.” Pour out Your Spirit freely and awaken people to speak what You reveal. Let fresh vision become faithful action in their neighborhoods. Hold Natalie steady in this promise. Even before the answer is visible, deepen the assurance that no prayer offered in faith is overlooked. Give Natalie a woman who can recognize multiplication without manufacturing it and who remains responsive to Your pace. May those who encounter this new leader see the character of Jesus and feel invited closer to Him. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

110 City General Focus for August is West and Central Africa

Today: CONAKRY, Guinea

I live in Conakry, the beating heart of Guinea, a coastal city where ocean waves crash against crowded streets and hope mingles with hardship. Our land is rich — filled with bauxite, gold, iron, and diamonds — yet many of us still live from what we can grow or sell in the market. Wealth lies in the soil, but poverty fills the homes.

Guinea has seen much change. Since the 1950s, our population has grown rapidly, and people keep moving from villages to the cities in search of opportunity. Conakry has become a gathering place for many — traders, laborers, and refugees from Liberia and Sierra Leone who fled war and built new lives here. Yet, conflict and distrust still simmer near our borders, and in our own hearts, division often runs deep.

Still, I believe God is writing a new story here. Conakry is more than a harbor — it is a harvest field. Many frontier peoples live among us, each with their own language and history, but all in need of hope that cannot be shaken. In the midst of instability, the Church is rising — small, steadfast, and shining the light of Christ along the streets and shores of this city. I pray that Guinea will one day be known not just for its minerals, but for the treasure of the Gospel taking root in every heart.

Pray for peace and stability along Guinea’s borders and protection for families affected by conflict. (Psalm 122:6–7)
