CHENGDU
CHINA
Chengdu, the capital city of the Sichuan province, is located on the fertile Chengdu Plain, neighboring the Tibet Autonomous Region, and has long been one of China’s most successful irrigation systems. These waterways have cleared a path for Chengdu’s rapid growth, now being one of the country’s most important communication hubs.
Having more than 4,000 years of recorded history, China, occupying nearly the entire East Asian landmass, is the largest of all Asian countries and the most populous nation on earth. Often mistaken as ethnically homogenous, China is one of the most diverse and complex countries, hosting an array of indigenous peoples.
Despite experiencing one of the greatest Jesus movements in history, with over 100 million Chinese coming to faith since the advent of communism in 1949, Chinese believers, as well as Uyghur Muslims, are facing intense persecution in this hour. With Xi Jinping’s vision of “One Belt, One Road”, and reach for global dominance, an opportunity presents itself for the nation of red and its leaders to fully surrender to King Jesus and wash the earth in the blood of the Lamb.

Pray for the advancement of God’s Kingdom throughout the 17 languages of this city, especially among the Central Tibetans and the Huizhou
Pray for children as leaders risk their lives to begin new work among them. Pray for wisdom, safety, and courage for the leaders.
Pray for a mighty movement of prayer to be birthed in Chengdu that multiplies throughout the country.
Pray for followers of Jesus to walk in the power of the Spirit.
Pray for a resurrection of God’s divine purpose for this city.
